Holocaust Memorial

I can't describe it, and photos do a poor job. This is one of the most effective memorial or sculpture I have ever seen. You have to walk through it to achieve the effect. There are is so much to say about it but I'll limit myself to one major point that can't be seen. From the outside it apears vast and expancive, but as you walk into it you begin to sink and loose sight of the whole but become increasinly aware of it's depth as well.

More photos of the Holocaust Memorial have been posted to my Picasa Albums at http://picasaweb.google.com/calvinbradley

Going back to Germany

Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station)

An ICE (Inter City Express) train. These badboys travel up to 300 kph (186 mph). It's faster and easier than a plane for a lot of traveling.

Back in Mainz looking out of my Max-Planck acomidations apartment that I had for the week.
